three different franchise size levels. The franchise fee for one
community newspaper territory is $27,500. For two territories
the fee is $37,500 and requires the franchisee to open the
second community newspaper territory within the second year of
operation. For three territories the fee is $42,500 and the
franchisee is required to open the second community newspaper
within the second year of operation and the third community
newspaper within the third year.
There are other initial costs
with opening a C&N Publishing, Inc. community newspaper
franchise. An approximation of the total start-up costs,
including the franchise fee, for one community newspaper
territory is between $36,700 and $53,150. The total cost,
including franchise fee, for two community newspaper territories
is between $45,850 and $63,150. For three territories, the
estimated total start-up costs, including the franchise fee, is
between $50,850 and $75,000.
