Almost from the beginning, C&N
Publications, Inc. identified two key fundamentals to
successfully publishing a local newspaper – community acceptance
and advertiser acceptance. The first essential was to produce a
publication that would be welcomed in the majority of homes
located in the distribution area.
We are looking for people with an
entrepreneurial spirit who are involved in their community and
are excited about the potential of being the owner of their
own community newspaper.
To accomplish this, C&N Publications, Inc. gathers quality,
appealing, and upbeat community news from area schools, civic
organizations, and local churches. We collect public library
calendars, local event schedules, and activity rosters from
local recreation centers. We keep the community abreast of
letters from public officials and disclose public service
announcements. This and more is compiled in our monthly
newspapers to bring home the latest in community news. We
purposely avoid negative “hard” news that people are
bombarded with almost daily. Consequently, C&N’s
community newspapers are well received by all demographic
groups.
Having newspapers well accepted by the community ensures that
the papers have high value to local advertisers. Our community
newspapers are a vehicle for small businesses to advertise at a
local level. With the newspapers being directly mailed to every
home and business in a select community, advertisers obtain
highly targeted marketing as opposed to shotgun advertising.
